graphic arts and medical industries, appointed Brad Giles
brad.giles@rtimage.com
as senior vice president, Worldwide Sales. At RTI he will be
responsible for sales of the RealTimeProof product line targeted
to graphic arts professionals.
Brad was previously vice president of Strategic and Business
Development at Printable. He is also co-founder of Digital Art
Exchange (DAX) and in the past served as its president and a
director. He began his career in the graphic arts industry with Scitex
America in Boston. At STA he held positions including
Senior Buyer, Purchasing Manager and Operations Manager. He then
moved into Customer Support where he held both District and
National Customer Support Manager positions. As we have reported,
one of the recent investors in RTI are the ExScite Arie
Rosenfeld‘s DOR Ventures and Scitex Corp.

Ken

who used to be with STA in the 80’s, is part of the HP’s
“Go To Market” team in the commercial printing
solutions at the Boise, Idaho based Hewlett Packard http://www.hp.com/go/digitalpress.
The HP Digital Press 6600 is the first product from HP’s imaging
and printing business that expands its business beyond inkjet and
laser printing to include production color digital offset
printing. The press is actually an OEM version of the Indigo
TurboStream. HP is a $50B company, headquartered in Palo Alto CA.

Since 4/2000, Gaby Mizrahie gaby@shira.com serves as VP,
Research & Development at Shira Computers Ltd http://www.shira.com/ of
Kfar-Saba, Israel.
Gaby worked for Scitex Israel for 12 years since 1988, and
additional 1 year for CreoScitex. He led a few software groups
responsible for the Brisque software. His last role at CreoScitex
was managing of the Brisque infrastructures development.

After reading our report about Solidimensions
(see Gossip item here below), Ido Lachover ido@solidimension.com
sent us his (?) picture. The picture is of a 3D solid model,
produced by the Solidimensions’ gizmo.
Ido, is a director in the company and serves as its interim CEO. Ido
and his brother Hagi, had founded Mini
Systems which was the actual core programming group at
the early days of Scitex. The Company has been sold to Scitex in
the early 80’s, and most of the programmers became Scitex
employees.

The Rosh Ha-Ayin, Israel based startup Solid-Dimensions www.solidimension.com

runs. The solid modeling product innovation in Israel has always
been based on ExScite’s. From Cubital (the founder was the
ExScite member Itzik Pomerantz Pomerantz@aliroo.com) to
ObJet (the current CEO is the ExScite David Ofek davido@objet.co.il ). In the

of Toronto Canada worked in Scitex Herzlia between 1989-1992 in
the Scanning groups at R&D and Manufacturing. He then moved
to Ultimate Technographics in Montreal Canada as Director
Imaging Technologies and later was with Husky Injection
Molding in Bolton, Ontario as Manager Intellectual
Property.
