Leaf Camera model

Ronit Konfidian was the photo model during the preparation of an article about the Leaf R&D group in Israel in 1999. Click on the picture to see a leaf Volare “contact sheet” image on a Mac screen.

Moving Leaf subsidiary home to Israel, 1996

The complete article was published in a British Photo magazin in 1999:

The man behind every Leaf camera to date is Yossi Ben-shoshan. In 1992 he moved from Scitex America to their new acquisition, Leaf Systems Inc. There he was responsible for the Leaf DCB (Digital Camera Back), first shown at Photokina in 1992.
In 1996 he took the Leaf subsidiary home to Israel, to take advantage of in-house manufacturing facilities and the synergy between Leaf and the Input Systems Division in digital imaging acquisition and color processing. Yossi Ben-shoshan is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading experts in professional camera design. He is also a perfectionist.

This great picture and story was submitted by Aron Blume:

“For the past 16 months, ever since the 2004 layoffs in the USA, a steadfast group of ex-Scitex (and Creo) alums have been gathering for monthly get-togethers in Waltham Massachusetts (near Boston). The group meets at one of the restaurants on Moody Street, have a few drinks at the Bah, and sit down for dinner and good times.

Our last dinner was one of our most successful, with 21 people attending.

The ExScite Yacov Pluda is the co-founder of M-Photo, an Israeli company located at a technology incubator in Kiryat-Gat.

The tiny M-Photo has attracted the attention of the staff of the Israeli Labor party politician Amir Peretz (sitting, left), who stopped by to pose for the cameras, hoping to “Hi-tech his own image”.
Peretz is the Labor Party candidate for the prime-minister job in the coming elections in Israel.
The picture was Emailed to us by Pluda himself (standing on the right).
Click on the picture to see Peretz looking at M-Photo’s computer screen.

PS. According to recent polls, Peretz has no chance of winning the majority of the votes, in spite of the fact that he has met with Yacov…

This picture was taken at the Dead Sea in Southern Israel in the year 2000.
Scitex France has brought-in a group of clean customers for a business & pleasure trip at Scitex in Herzlia.
Look what happened to them- I have never seen a responsible company who brings-in customer and roll them in mud…
In fact, the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth and the largest “Natural Spa” in the world, is one of the world’s true natural wonders and a unique tourism destination. No doubt those customer have had a fantastic experience.
