It’s in the box- the packaging team…

Scitex has always been in the very big boxes business,,,
This picture was taken in the early 80’s on the loading dock in Herzlia, what is called in Scitex Israel-Arizot. This particular shipment was a big deal indeed, as the top management came to lend a hand. You can spot them as they are all wearing white shirts-
On the left is VP HR Haim Benymini, strapping the box is the CEO Efi Arazi, in the background as usual is VP finanace Gerald Dogon and on the right VP R&D Gideon Rosenfeld.

Exanet www.exanet.com Recognized As a “Rising Star” in Innovation and Technology

NEW YORK, APRIL 12, 2005 — Exanet, the Isreaeli developer of the award-winning ExaStore? storage solution, has been named one of the Red Herring 100 Europe, a selection of the top 100 private companies in Europe and Israel that play a leading role in innovation and technology.

“This award reinforces the impact and value our customers gain from our technology – providing a strategic solution to a tactical problem,” said Rami Schwartz, Exanet CEO. “Our business model is based on providing companies with a business-focused storage solution, one that grows with their corporate data management needs, maintains a cost-effective environment, and enhances information sharing for a competitive advantage.”

Red Herring’s selection process to identify the Top 100 Companies is long and rigorous. It selected Exanet as a winner after reviewing the company’s business model, analyzing its profitability forecasts, assessing the management team and examining its technology.

“All our processes – from basic R&D to professional services and technical support — are geared toward providing the best business value for our customers,” said the ExScite Yossi Ben-Shoshan, Exanet executive vice president and general manager. “We identified a clear customer need to simplify storage infrastructure and management. To meet this need, we developed ExaStore, a superior auto-managed, scalable, cost efficient and high performance solution using Exanet software and industry standard hardware.”

Exanet’s storage solutions integrate ExaStore software with industry standard hardware, and are available with fibre channel or SATA disk RAID arrays, allowing customers to build an infinitely expandable storage system, based on Exanet’s grid storage architecture.

Dolev 800 manufacturing team [in Israel].

The ExScite Mike Kinnucane of Grafton MA has sent us this note and picture:

”First thanks for maintaining this site. I really enjoy visiting it on a regular basis.

The attached photo shows me (White FILA t-shirt) taken with the Dolev 800 manufacturing team [in Israel]. I spent a wonderful month working with them in 1997. The photo was taken by Haim Vaknin who was the 800 Production manager. He and most of the people in this photo later moved to the Lotem 400 line.”

Rami feels at home in Japan (see his feet)

Servicing the R-300 was really a big deal, especially in Japan. In the picture- Rami Liron is checking a board inside a system rack, at one of the first Scitex installations in Tokyo in the early 1980’s.
Notice Rami’s Japanese footware…

Nostalgia

On one of the January evenings, a few old buddies visited

Efi Arazi in his home in the center of Tel Aviv. Micha Kidron had summarized the

event with his sharp pen and sent it to me to be posted at ExScite.
