Also at the birthday party for Efi on July 2002, Ilan Olesker (STA&STCL), Daina Shem-Tov (STCL) and Uzi-Ish Horowirz (STCL), shared stories about those long-ago days at Scitex.

On a sunny day in June 2002– the remaining Iris-Graphics employees had a pink-slip party near the company’s building in Chelmsford MA. This is (almost) the last brave bunch that stayed with the sinking ship to this late stage. ExScite welcomes you’all to become members and wish you success in your new career. –

Julia Maslawi was spotted among the party-goers at a recent (July 2002) birthday party for Efi, near Herzlia. Julia was the undisputed queen of the food services at Scitex in Herzlia for many years. The Scitex dining room was known in the gastronomical circles in Tel Aviv as equivalent to a Five-Star restaurant…

In 1985, the state of Israel awarded a prestigious Best Employee of The Year award “Pras-Kaplan” to Michael Ramazanov ramazanov@robotec.co.il of Scitex Corp. The ceremony took place at the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, in Jerusalem. ???XX, Uzi Ish-Horowitz, Itzik Sanua, Shlomo Waldmann, Hezi Marueli, Yakov Laor, Efi Arazi, Sosh Komemi ( in front of Efi ), Moti,Tami Kimmelmann, Amos Brubi, Elik Fanger ( behind Ramazanov ), Julio, Yoel Stern, Moshe Shenkar, ???XX, David Hayek and Eli Zilberman ( in front ), Ramazanov’ mother, Michael Ramazanov, his Wife and daughter and sitting are a couple of his friends. Continuing a 10 years tradition, a few of the more sophisticated Scitex (Israel) ladies have been gathering around once a year to reminisce and update each other on where everyone (ex-Scitex) is and to cement their friendships. In the summer of 2001, after Beth, Shelagh and Ronit had left Scitex, the group met and captured the digital moment for ExScite.

For old Scitex veterans, attached is a photo taken during a charming evening in a nice Italian restaurant, recomended by the expert on Italian food, Zvi Gat (Gate) in Milan, during the 1979 GEC show. GEC show was the most exciting and important milestone for Scitex, where it became the leader in the prepress technology and market after showing the first integrated pre-press system – the Response system (Who remembers that?).
